Meet Our Training Manager – Kirstie Reynolds
Staff Member: Kirstie Reynolds
Role: Training Manager
With over 25 years of experience as a Mental Health Clinical Lead Nurse, including 15 years specialising in CAMHS and crisis support, I have worked across a wide range of complex and high-risk services such as brain injury rehabilitation, dementia care, secure wards, and prison settings. This has given me a strong and practical understanding of the challenges teams face in real-world environments.
As Training Manager at Sherwood Training, I lead on the quality and direction of our training, ensuring everything we deliver is evidence-based, aligned with RRN standards, current legislation, and underpinned by a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework. I work closely with organisations to develop bespoke techniques and provide consultations that are not only compliant, but effective in practice.
My focus is on helping services move beyond compliance into confident, values-led practice, supporting teams to apply reducing restrictive practices safely, proportionately, and in a truly person-centred way. I am incredibly proud to be part of Sherwood Training and to see the impact of this training year on year, with services achieving meaningful reductions in restrictive practice and stronger outcomes for the people they support.
Meet us at the Care Show this October, if you are looking to strengthen practice, embed PBS, or build confidence in managing more complex situations, I would love to connect.
