Courses with restrictive physical interventions and clinical holding can be taught bespoke to departmental needs. Our team of highly experienced and competent trainers includes registered nurses, NHS managers and frontline practitioners.

FAQs
Please find our most frequently asked questions here – however, if you need any more information, please call our team on 01159 704 811
Is the training suitable for security officers?
Yes. We have successfully adapted our training and not only delivered it to healthcare security teams but have been recognised at the National Association of Healthcare Security (NAHS) awards with officers trained by our team winning Best Security Officer of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
Do you offer open courses for individuals to attend?
Yes. To support smaller organisations and agency workers, we run open courses that anyone can attend. This includes first aid, manual handling and our physical interventions courses which are Bild-ACT certified as compliant with the RRN Training Standards. Our team of highly experienced and competent trainers include registered nurses, registered managers, PBS practitioners and senior support workers. They have significant experience in many settings and will use this experience to tailor any course to your individual needs.
Is this training really effective in this sector?
Yes. In 2022-2023, we completed some research into this and found that our training had increased the use of de-escalation skills by 52.6% (on average).
Our programme, focussed on more proactive and de-escalation strategies, can lead to better outcomes such as reduction in violence and aggression, reduction in the use of force, increase in non-physical resolutions, safer and less traumatic experiences for patients and visitors, security staff, clinicians and others. It can also reduce the likelihood of litigation, investigations and allegations.
