Overview
We have extensive experience designing and delivering courses in many mental health settings including community services, acute trusts, residential care and supported living. Whether these are mandatory training, health and safety courses or behaviour support training, we strive to meet the needs of your organisation. We offer consultations for individuals and services if required. Our team of highly experienced and competent trainers include registered nurses, registered managers, PBS practitioners and senior support workers.
NHS Trusts & In-patient Services
We train staff across the NHS in acute trusts and community mental health services to reduce the risk of harm through violence and aggression. Promoting a human rights-based approach within national legislation and guidance, the focus is on creating safe environments for both patients and staff.Community Services & Outreach
Promoting quality of life and meaningful engagement is at the heart of our courses, especially for individuals who support people with behaviours of concern. We aim to equip staff with the confidence and knowledge to support people in a safe and effective way that meets all national legislation and guidance, builds skills and values individuals.Residential Care
With a focus on person-centred and active support, we deliver courses that equip you with the skills needs to support adults with mental health needs in a dignified and rights-respecting way. By promoting a strengths-based approach, we aim to reduce behaviours of concern and improve quality of life.Individual Support Packages
We work with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) delivering training to families and personal assistants who support individuals and families who may have a Personal Health Budget (PHB) through the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding. Are your courses suitable for people supporting those with mental illness?
Yes. Our team includes nursing professionals and trainers from a wide variety of backgrounds enabling us to make our training bespoke to your organisational requirements.
Is this training suitable for my service type?
We work with a wide variety of customers who provide many differing types of services from supported living in the community to ATU’s within the NHS. Please contact one of our team who will be able to discuss your specific needs in more detail.
Does your training also cover how to support staff wellness?
Yes. We advise and support the use of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks within organisations and support plans. Our RRN Approved courses and PBS courses contain our REFLECT model of debriefing which has been published in Nursing Times.net. We also like to work with organisations to highlight what services you may internally to support staff wellbeing.
