FAQs

Please find our most frequently asked questions here – however, if you need any more information, please call our team on 01159 704 811

Can this course be delivered virtually?

Next

Yes. While we strongly believe that face-to-face training is most effective, this course is modular so can be delivered virtually in sections. Whether delivered in person or virtually, there is an expectation that participants will actively engage in activities, group work exercises and discussions. Please speak to us as we will strive to deliver the training in the way that best suits your organisation. The physical interventions must be taught in person.

Is this course an equivalent of Team Teach?

Next

Yes. Team Teach is a behaviour management training organisation. Other organisations use acronyms such as Managing Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) or Preventing & Managing Violence and Aggression (PMVA) to describe behaviour management and physical intervention courses. We don’t use an acronym, but the theory and physical skills are an equivalent and equip staff with similar skills.

Is the training certified by Bild-ACT against the RRN Training Standards?

Next

No. The course is CPD certified. If your school requires training that is certified by Bild-ACT as compliant with the RRN Training Standards, you will need a longer course to meet the required learning hours. If you are unsure as to the exact needs in your school, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss the different options with you.

Is this course Positive Behaviour Support?

Next

Positive Behaviour Support is an evidenced-based framework for reducing behaviours of concern and improving quality of life. This course includes some key elements of Positive Behaviour Support, including the tiered approach to PBS in Schools. We do offer Positive Behaviour Support courses that focus purely on PBS and meet the PBS Competency Framework.
