PBS Awareness

Course Overview
This course is designed to meet standard 1.1-1.12 of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Competency Framework 2015. It is CPD certified and has been submitted for voluntary review under the PBS Peer Accreditation Scheme. The content of the course is based on the Behaviour Support Plan Content Assessment Tool (BSP-CAT) which we were privileged to be a part of developing. You will identify the key elements of PBS and learn how it can be applied to improve a person’s quality of life to reduce behaviour of concern. You will learn about the foundations of support and explore proactive and reactive strategies within a PBS framework. There will be a strong focus on the practical ways to ensure PBS plans are embedded into everyday practice.
